14. Distribution of Commercial Applications on Campus

If you wish to use Distribution of Commercial Applications on Campus, you must submit an application through the TSUBAME Portal.

Warning

This procedure is an application for the use of the Distribution of Commercial Applications running on university-owned PCs (Windows/Mac).
If you wish to use applications running on TSUBAME4, please refer to Application Activation.

Warning

• For the Distribution of Commercial Applications on Campus, various usage restrictions and precautions are stipulated from the viewpoint of license management. Please be sure to check Commercial Application Dirstribution before you apply.
• Please make sure that the "responsible user" himself/herself conducts the application. The responsible user cannot be changed at the time of application.

To perform basic operations, choose "Manage your group" from the side menu to show the "Groups list" page.
Select the target group “Details display” link on the group list screen.

On the "TSUBAME Group Details" page, click the "Apply" button to the right of "Commercial Software Distribution" in the usage options menu.

Clicking the "Apply" button will take you to the "Commercial Software Distribution" screen.
Fields marked with * are required. Fill in the required fields, check the checkbox for agreement, and then click the "Preview" button.

Please be sure to check the following before submitting your application.

• Have you read the Commercial Application Dirstribution page?
• Do you meet the requirements for a "Responsible User"?
  Applications submitted by students or on behalf of others are not permitted.
• Have you listed all host names and IP addresses for the devices to be installed on (including virtual machines)?
  If we detect usage on devices not included in the application, we may suspend your access.
• Have you listed all user TSUBAME accounts?
  Omissions or false declarations may constitute unauthorized use of the license.
• If there are additions or changes to the PCs to be installed, users, or connecting networks, please submit a new application.
  There is no additional fee for supplementary applications.

A screen will appear to confirm your input, so make sure there are no errors and press the "Submit" button.
A confirmation dialog will appear, so press "OK".

• Once the application is complete, a copy of the application notification will be sent to the "applicant" and the "group administrator".
• It will take several business days for you to be notified of whether your application has been approved or rejected.
